Accessibility and Service Animal Policy
Safeera. Effective . Version 1.0.
Safeera seeks to make its information, customer communications, demonstrations and services accessible to people with disabilities. This Policy applies to activities and premises Safeera controls and to persons acting for Safeera in those activities. Applicable accessibility and disability law prevails.
1. Requesting assistance
Contact hello@safeera.ai to request an accessible document, communication method, reasonable modification or assistance arranging a visit. Describe the barrier and the assistance that would help; you do not need to disclose a diagnosis to make an initial request. We will discuss an effective alternative where a requested method cannot reasonably be provided.
An inaccessible account or document must not prevent a cancellation, refund request, safety report or exercise of a legal right. Available alternatives include email and postal contact at Safeera, 101 Jefferson Dr., Menlo Park, CA 94025, United States. Requests are considered individually and handled with appropriate privacy.
2. Service animals
At premises and activities open to the public and covered by applicable law, service animals are welcome in areas where the public is permitted. Under the U.S. ADA, a service animal is generally a dog individually trained to perform work or tasks for a person with a disability. We do not impose a breed, size, vest, identification-card or certification requirement. Miniature horses are assessed under the separate requirements applicable to them.
When the service provided is not apparent, staff may ask only whether the animal is required because of a disability and what work or task it has been trained to perform. Staff will not require disclosure of the disability or a task demonstration. Emotional support alone does not qualify an animal as a service animal under the ADA, but other applicable laws may provide broader rights in particular settings.
3. Control and safety
The handler is responsible for control and care. The animal must be harnessed, leashed or tethered unless that interferes with its work or the person’s disability prevents it, in which case another effective means of control is permitted. A service animal may be excluded only for a lawful, individualized reason, such as being out of control when the handler does not take effective action, or not being housebroken.
Where a lawful exclusion applies, we will offer the person an opportunity to participate without the animal and consider an appropriate accommodation. Allergies or fear alone are not sufficient grounds for exclusion. No service-animal surcharge is charged. Actual damage may be addressed on the same basis as damage by other visitors, where lawful.
4. Different settings
A private home, employment setting, clinical sterile area or restricted equipment enclosure may be governed by different legal and safety requirements. This Policy does not authorize entry into a private residence or unsafe area. Any restriction or alternative must be based on the specific setting and applicable law, not a general presumption about disability.
Report an access concern to hello@safeera.ai or legal@safeera.ai. Good-faith requests and complaints will not result in retaliation. This Policy is a commitment to accessible handling and reasonable accommodation; it does not assert that every interface has received a particular accessibility certification.
