Product Safety and Recall Policy
Safeera. Effective . Version 1.0.
This Policy explains how to report a Safeera product safety concern, check whether a Unit is affected by a safety action and obtain the applicable remedy. It applies to Safeera Intelligence Units and Safeera-supplied components within the scope of the relevant action. It is not a statement that a particular Unit has no outstanding recall.
1. Immediate safety
For smoke, fire, electrical exposure or another immediate threat, keep people away and contact emergency services. Follow the configuration-specific emergency instructions only where safe. Do not open, move or restart hazardous equipment to obtain an identifier or preserve service revenue.
A stop-use instruction takes precedence over ordinary scheduling and availability commitments. A marketplace or account function must not defeat local protective behavior. Follow a specific instruction until the remedy or clearance it requires has been completed.
2. Reporting a concern
Email hello@safeera.ai with the subject “Product safety.” Include the Unit or component serial number if safely available, installation location, contact details, incident date, symptoms, relevant software version and safe photographs where useful. Report a related cyber issue to security@safeera.ai. Do not include passwords, private workloads or unnecessary information about people.
You may report an incident, potential defect or near miss without proving its cause. Safeera will assess the information, preserve relevant records and determine the appropriate escalation and corrective action. Applicable reporting duties to product-safety authorities remain Safeera’s responsibility and are not delayed until a customer completes a form or an investigation establishes the final cause.
3. Checking a Unit
Contact hello@safeera.ai with the Unit identifier and current software version to request its applicable safety-action status. Relevant information may also be provided through a direct notice or account communication. A response applies to the identified configuration and the information available at that time; it is not a general safety certification.
Keep owner, operator and service contacts current. On a lawful transfer, provide the receiving party with outstanding safety notices and update the relevant contact record. A transfer or expired commercial service plan does not remove an applicable recall remedy or mandatory product-safety right.
4. Safety notices and remedies
A specific safety notice will identify affected products or versions, the concern, any immediate precautions, the remedy, how to arrange it and how completion is verified. The remedy may involve inspection, repair, replacement, a software update or another action appropriate to the defect and applicable law. An update counts as completed only when the affected system reaches the required state, not merely when a download is offered.
Follow the supplied instructions and contact Safeera if an update fails, the Unit cannot connect or a physical service visit is required. Required recall remedies will not be conditioned on purchasing an optional plan. Charges, if any, for unrelated work require prior agreement and cannot be disguised as the price of a legally required remedy.
5. Safe access and records
Safeera and its service providers must coordinate lawful property access and protect private information. Safety access is limited to the necessary work; it does not grant unrestricted access to tenant content or home sensors. Information needed for safety assessment may be retained for the applicable legal and product-life obligations under appropriate access controls.
Keep records of the notice, inspection and completed remedy. Do not conceal or alter serial numbers, service records or evidence of a defect. Good-faith reports and cooperation with an authority must not result in retaliation.
