Open Source Software Notice
Safeera. Effective . Version 1.0.
Safeera products and software may include open-source components alongside Safeera proprietary software, vendor software and separately licensed models. This notice explains how component rights and release materials are handled. It is not a license for the entire Safeera system.
1. Component licenses control
Each open-source component is governed by its applicable license. Where that license conflicts with a general Safeera restriction, the component license controls for that component. Copyright notices, license text and required attribution must be preserved. A hardware purchase, software subscription or termination of a cloud account does not remove rights already granted under an applicable open-source license.
The notices supplied for the relevant release identify components and their license information. Versions and modifications matter; a list for one release is not a representation about every installed configuration. A model-weight license is not assumed to be the same as the license for the software that runs the model.
2. Source and other required materials
Where a license requires corresponding source, modification information, installation information or another distribution artifact, Safeera will provide it using the method and for the period required by that license. Any license-specific source offer supplied with a product states its applicable scope and terms. This general notice does not narrow that offer or substitute for required license materials.
To request materials, email legal@safeera.ai with the subject “Open source request” and, if available, the product, software version, component and delivery date. A Unit serial number can help identify the release but is not required where the license gives a requester rights without one. Requests may also be mailed to Safeera, Attention: Open Source, 101 Jefferson Dr., Menlo Park, CA 94025, United States.
No charge will be imposed beyond what the applicable license permits. A request does not require buying support or agreeing to a confidentiality restriction that would contradict the license. If a required notice or source item appears missing, identify the release and item so that it can be addressed.
3. Vendor and proprietary components
The presence of an open-source operating system, hypervisor or inference server does not make proprietary applications, firmware, drivers, hardware designs or model weights freely redistributable. Conversely, labeling a product proprietary does not excuse open-source obligations. Obtain rights for each component you redistribute, modify or use in a new service.
Safeera will not offer vendor software under an open-source license it does not have authority to grant. A link to a general upstream repository is not a substitute for the exact corresponding source when the applicable license requires more.
4. Modifications and service
You may exercise modification and redistribution rights granted by a license. Safeera’s supported configuration and security or safety requirements may differ from a modified configuration. A modification must not bypass equipment protections or expose another tenant’s information. Any warranty exclusion remains subject to its terms, causation and applicable law; use of open source alone does not void all product rights.
No contributor warranty is created by this notice. License disclaimers remain subject to applicable law and do not cancel a separate warranty Safeera expressly provides for its product or service.
